Scripted Wrestling Show Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

A scripted wrestling show presents choreographed matches with planned falls, dives and storylines in a ring, often at halls, gyms or fairgrounds. Promoters should look at ringside barriers and seating, performer injury coverage, ring setup and what the venue requires on certificates.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review scripted wrestling show insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Describe the planned physical performance.
  • Coordinate performers and ring installation.
  • Separate the audience from the performance area.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose a fan at ringside is struck when a wrestler performing a planned dive over the top rope lands on the front row and alleges that the wrestling promoter caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If a performer is injured during a planned move and claims against the promoter, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the wrestling promoter who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
