Static Truck Show Insurance (Parked Trucks Only): Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

A static truck show displays parked custom, vintage or working trucks for visitors to walk around and judge, with no driving during the event. Organizers should look at climbing and cab-access rules, damage to exhibitors' vehicles, how trucks arrive and leave the lot, and certificate needs.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review static truck show insurance (parked trucks only) from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Identify parked trucks and display configurations.
  • Describe visitor access around large vehicles and any trailers.
  • Coordinate delivery, positioning and owner responsibilities.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose a child climbing onto a display semi's step rail falls to the pavement while touring the parked rigs and alleges that the truck-show organizer caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If an exhibitor's show truck is scratched or vandalized while parked and the owner seeks repair costs, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the truck-show organizer who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
