Ground-Level Team Building Event Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

A ground-level team building event runs group exercises such as relays, puzzles, blindfold challenges and scavenger hunts, with no ropes courses or elevated elements. Organizers should look at participant injury exposure, what the client and venue contracts require, and whether any activity drifts beyond on-ground-only limits.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review ground-level team building event insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Identify each ground-level group exercise.
  • Coordinate facilitators and participant teams.
  • Manage apparatus and activity spacing.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose a hotel guest crossing the lawn is knocked down by a relay team racing blindfolded through the obstacle course and alleges that the team-building organizer caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If a coworker is hurt in a trust fall and claims against the organizer as a participant, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the team-building organizer who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
