Symphony Concert Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

A symphony concert brings an orchestra and often visiting soloists to a concert hall, church or outdoor bandshell for a seated audience. Organizers should review the venue contract, how borrowed or valuable instruments are covered, weather plans for outdoor dates and what happens if a soloist cancels.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review symphony concert insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Describe the symphony concert's visiting soloists and venue arrangements.
  • Identify instrument storage and backstage access.
  • Coordinate the event organizer's duties separately from the orchestra's.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose an older patron falls on the dim aisle steps while returning to her seat after intermission and alleges that the concert organizer caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If a visiting soloist's rare violin is damaged backstage and the owner seeks repair costs, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the concert organizer who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
