Photo Booth Provider Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

Photo booth providers set up an enclosed or open-air booth with a camera, lighting, printer, backdrop and props for weddings, parties and corporate events. Providers should confirm venue certificate requests, how cords and backdrops are secured and whether the booth equipment itself needs inland marine or equipment coverage.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review photo booth provider insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Identify booth equipment, backdrop and footprint.
  • Describe guest use of props and image collection.
  • Coordinate power, setup and delivery of photographs.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose a guest is hurt when a crowd piles into the booth and the weighted backdrop frame tips onto them and alleges that the photo booth operator caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If the booth's camera, printer or lighting rig is dropped, stolen or damaged at the venue, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the photo booth operator who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
