Lounge Show Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

A lounge show is an intimate live music or cabaret performance inside a bar, hotel lounge or supper club during regular service. Producers should clarify whether they run the lounge or only supply the entertainment, how gear paths cross table service and who carries liquor liability.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review lounge show insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Describe the lounge performance within the venue's ordinary service operations.
  • Identify table service and performer equipment paths.
  • Clarify whether the applicant runs the lounge or supplies entertainment.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose a patron is hurt when a performer's amplifier stacked near the tables topples during the set and alleges that the lounge show producer caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If drinks are served during the show and the producer assumes the venue's liquor liability extends to them, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the lounge show producer who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
