Hired Impressionist Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

A hired impressionist performs vocal or character impressions for corporate events, parties and shows, often with microphones and audience interaction. Performers should clarify what the booking promises, who controls recordings and promotional clips, and whether audience volunteer segments create liability the host expects them to carry.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review hired impressionist insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Describe vocal or other impressions and microphone requirements.
  • Identify audience involvement and any recording of the act.
  • Clarify the promised performance and promotional use of recordings.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose an audience volunteer steps off a small riser during an audience bit and injures an ankle and alleges that the impressionist caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If a recording of the act is used in promotions and a claim about likeness or copyrighted material follows, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the impressionist who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
