Indoor Home Show Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

An indoor home show brings remodeling contractors, product suppliers and home-service exhibitors into a hall with booths, sample installations and live demonstrations. Organizers should confirm exhibitor insurance, who operates any equipment and that every display really stays indoors as described.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review indoor home show insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Describe home-product displays and demonstrations inside the venue.
  • Identify exhibitors, sample structures and who installs or operates equipment.
  • Confirm that any outside display would require reconsidering the indoor-only classification.
  • Keep the described public program within the identified indoor rooms and clarify loading access.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose a visitor stepping into a sample kitchen display loses balance on an uneven platform edge and strikes a countertop and alleges that the home show organizer caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If an exhibitor's demonstration equipment or display is damaged during move-in through the venue's loading dock, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the home show organizer who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
