Ticketed Holiday Party Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

A ticketed holiday party charges entry for a seasonal celebration that often includes drinks, a DJ or band and themed decor. Organizers should look closely at liquor liability when drinks come with the ticket, along with crowd control, entry conditions and venue certificate requirements.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review ticketed holiday party insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Identify the hosts and the actual social program for the holiday gathering.
  • Describe decor, gift activities and hired entertainment at the party.
  • Coordinate bar or food service separately from seasonal installations.
  • Coordinate paid entry, admission conditions and any goods included in the ticket.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose a ticketholder falls down a dim stairway leading from the party room to the coat check and alleges that the party organizer caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If drinks are included in the ticket price and an alcohol-related injury arises without liquor liability, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the party organizer who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
