Ticketed Holiday Event Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

A ticketed holiday event charges admission for a seasonal program such as a light walk, holiday market, show or visit with a seasonal character. Organizers should sort out crowd and entry control, what the ticket includes, performer and installer certificates and whether weather cancellation is a concern.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review ticketed holiday event insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Identify the holiday program and confirm it does not include a haunted attraction.
  • Describe any ceremony, seasonal display or public activity actually proposed.
  • Coordinate installers, performers and public movement through the holiday program.
  • Coordinate paid entry, admission conditions and any goods included in the ticket.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose a ticketholder slips on an icy walkway between light displays and fractures an ankle and alleges that the event organizer caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If a winter storm forces cancellation and ticket refunds, a loss usually handled by event cancellation coverage, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the event organizer who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
