Garden Show Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

A garden show brings together planted exhibits, horticultural displays and temporary landscaping built on site, often with water features and soft ground. Organizers should sort out exhibitor insurance requirements, installation responsibilities and how visitor paths are kept safe while soil and water work is underway.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review garden show insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Describe planted exhibits and horticultural displays.
  • Identify soil, water and temporary landscaping work.
  • Coordinate visitor paths and exhibit installation.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose a visitor steps onto a loose paver in a freshly built landscape exhibit and twists an ankle along the display path and alleges that the garden show organizer caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If an exhibitor's plants, trees or landscape materials are damaged by frost, flooding or vandalism before judging, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the garden show organizer who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
