Fundraiser Brunch Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

A fundraising brunch hosts supporters for one or more sittings with a buffet or plated meal, often with drinks, a silent auction or speakers. Organizers should confirm how guest injuries during table turnover may be handled, whether alcohol needs liquor liability, and what the venue requires.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review fundraiser brunch insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Describe separate brunch sittings if offered.
  • Identify food vendors and the flow of donor payments.
  • Coordinate guest turnover and volunteer assignments.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose a guest slips on a spilled mimosa near the buffet while volunteers turn tables over between sittings and alleges that the fundraising organizer caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If volunteers serve mimosas without liquor liability and a guest is later hurt, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the fundraising organizer who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
