Exhibitor with On-Site Sales Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

An exhibitor with on-site sales displays and sells goods at a show or fair, often sampling or demonstrating products. Exhibitors should confirm whether products liability is included, how customer injuries in the booth may be treated, and whether stock and cash need property coverage.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review exhibitor with on-site sales insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Describe goods sold by the exhibitor and transaction arrangements.
  • Identify sampling, product use or demonstrations.
  • Coordinate stock and customer access within the exhibition booth.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose a customer is cut on a sharp shelf edge while reaching for merchandise on the exhibitor's top display and alleges that the exhibitor caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If cash and unsold stock are stolen from the booth while it is unattended, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the exhibitor who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
