Electronics Convention Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

An electronics convention fills a hall with exhibitors demonstrating devices, components and powered displays, often with testing areas and heavy electrical loads. Organizers should confirm how attendee injuries at demos are handled, what exhibitors must carry themselves, and how theft or damage to equipment may be addressed.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review electronics convention insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Identify electronics exhibitors and powered demonstrations.
  • Describe electrical supplies and testing areas.
  • Coordinate equipment installation and visitor handling.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose an attendee is burned by an overheating battery pack during a live gadget demonstration on the show floor and alleges that the convention organizer caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If exhibitors' high-value devices are stolen from booths overnight, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the convention organizer who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
