Craft Show Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

A craft show gathers makers selling handmade goods, sometimes working on site with tools or heat sources. Organizers should confirm vendor coverage, plan space around live demonstrations and clarify what the venue or property owner requires.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review craft show insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Identify crafts and whether makers work onsite.
  • Describe tools, heat sources or product demonstrations.
  • Coordinate stalls and visitor access around workstations.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose a visitor is burned when a candle maker's melting pot tips over at a live demonstration booth and alleges that the craft show organizer caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If a maker's inventory is stolen or ruined by rain while the show is running, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the craft show organizer who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
