Computer Show Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

A computer show brings hardware and software exhibitors together with live demo stations, testing areas and shared power and network setups. Organizers should clarify who owns the equipment on the floor, how theft is handled and whether data or network exposures need separate coverage.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review computer show insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Identify computer displays and live testing stations.
  • Describe data, network and power arrangements.
  • Coordinate visitor use of exhibitors' equipment.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose a visitor is burned by an overheated power strip beneath a crowded gaming PC demo station and alleges that the computer-show organizer caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If an exhibitor's laptops are stolen or visitor data is exposed on a demo network, which is a cyber question, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the computer-show organizer who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
