Civic Club Meeting Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

A civic club meeting brings members of a service club or neighborhood association together for agenda business, guest speakers and community-service planning. Clubs should confirm who owns the meeting space, whether volunteer activities are covered and what the property owner requires as proof of insurance.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review civic club meeting insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Identify the civic club and property owner hosting the meeting.
  • Describe agenda items and any community-service activity.
  • Coordinate volunteers and supplier access.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose a visiting guest is hurt when a folding chair collapses beneath them at the front of the lodge hall and alleges that the civic club caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If a volunteer is injured during a community cleanup organized at the meeting or a borrowed projector is damaged, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the civic club who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
