Indoor Choir Performance Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

An indoor-only choir performance stays inside a church, auditorium, hotel ballroom or similar room for the whole program. Choirs should confirm the rooms used, how equipment gets in through loading areas and what the venue's contract requires for liability and additional insured wording.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review indoor choir performance insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Provide the advertised performance under a client contract.
  • Bring and operate performance props or equipment.
  • Keep the described public program within the identified indoor rooms and clarify loading access.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose a concertgoer is injured when the choir's stacked equipment cases topple in a narrow hallway near the loading door and alleges that the choir caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If the choir's keyboard or sound gear is damaged while being carried through the venue's loading area, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the choir who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
