Chamber of Commerce Mixer Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

A chamber mixer is an evening networking event hosted by the chamber and one or more member businesses, usually with drinks, appetizers and sponsor tables. Hosts should clarify who runs the bar, whether liquor liability applies and which business is the named insured for the shared space.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review chamber of commerce mixer insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Identify the chamber and businesses co-hosting the mixer.
  • Coordinate sponsor booths and networking circulation.
  • Describe the bar operator and any presentation or product demonstration.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose a guest slips on melted ice near the drink station and hits their head on a cocktail table and alleges that the mixer host caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If a guest leaves intoxicated and injures someone, and no liquor liability was arranged for the hosted bar, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the mixer host who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
