Ticketed Business Party Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

A ticketed business party charges guests for entry, such as a networking mixer or company-hosted gala with drinks or dinner included. Hosts should review liability for paying guests, liquor liability for bundled drinks, and how company-arranged transport and suppliers are insured.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review ticketed business party insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Identify the employer, host company and employees or outside guests invited.
  • Describe whether speeches, staff recognition or product activities accompany the party.
  • Coordinate company-arranged suppliers and any transport for attendees.
  • Coordinate paid entry, admission conditions and any goods included in the ticket.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose a paying guest is injured when a rented photo booth backdrop wall falls over in a crowded corner and alleges that the host company caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If the company shuttle taking ticket holders to the venue is involved in a crash, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the host company who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
