Invite-Only Business Party Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

An invite-only business party is a private company event such as a holiday party or staff celebration for employees and invited guests. Companies should review host liquor liability, whether employee injuries fall under other coverage, and how hired shuttles or suppliers are insured.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review invite-only business party insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Identify the employer, host company and employees or outside guests invited.
  • Describe whether speeches, staff recognition or product activities accompany the party.
  • Coordinate company-arranged suppliers and any transport for attendees.
  • Confirm the invitation list and explain how the private guest limit will be managed.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose a client's spouse falls on a dim staircase between the party room and the coat check and alleges that the host company caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If an employee drinks too much at the company party and injures another driver on the way home, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the host company who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
