Amateur Bowling Event Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

An amateur bowling event can be a tournament, match, class or league night at a bowling center, with players waiting behind the lanes. Organizers should look at spectator liability, how bowler injuries may be treated, and what the bowling center requires for group bookings.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review amateur bowling event insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Schedule preliminary rounds, finals and any simultaneous playing areas.
  • Coordinate shoe and ball use with the venue.
  • Manage player waiting and spectator areas.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose a spectator is hit on the foot when a player's ball slips backward off the approach and alleges that the bowling organizer caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If a bowler wrenches a wrist in a tournament match and seeks medical costs, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the bowling organizer who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
