Blues Concert Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

A blues concert features a band in a club, bar or outdoor stage, with audiences either seated at tables or moving around. Organizers should sort out audience liability, liquor exposure if drinks are served, and who is responsible for musicians' instruments during load-in.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review blues concert insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Describe the blues performance's actual band and instrument setup.
  • Identify whether the audience is seated or moving between tables.
  • Coordinate individually owned instruments during load-in.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose a patron moving between tables in a dim club trips on a monitor wedge at the stage edge and falls and alleges that the concert organizer caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If a touring guitarist's vintage amplifier is damaged during load-in, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the concert organizer who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
