Bird Show Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

A bird show is a judged exhibition where breeders present birds in cages on display tables for judging and public viewing. Organizers should review visitor liability, who is responsible for exhibitors' birds in holding areas, and what the venue and exhibitors ask for.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review bird show insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Describe bird judging and exhibitor presentations.
  • Identify cages, display tables and participant roles.
  • Coordinate entry, holding and public-viewing areas.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose a visitor is injured when a stacked row of exhibition cages topples off a display table and alleges that the bird show organizer caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If an exhibitor's prize bird is injured or lost while in the show's holding area, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the bird show organizer who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
