Billiards Event Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

A billiards event runs open play, matches or exhibitions on pool tables in a bar, hall or club room. Organizers should review liability for spectators in tight walkways, who is responsible for table damage and stored cues, and what the venue expects.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review billiards event insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Describe the billiards format, tables and participant access.
  • Identify table ownership and responsibility for cue storage and surrounding walkways.
  • Coordinate open play, exhibitions and spectator space around the tables.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose a spectator standing behind a player is struck in the face by a cue on the backswing and alleges that the billiards event organizer caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If a rented pool table's felt is torn or a player's custom cue is broken or stolen, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the billiards event organizer who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
