Belly Dancer Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

A belly dancer performs at restaurants, weddings and parties, sometimes with swords, candles or veils, and may invite guests to dance along. Performers should review liability for guests near props, how guest participation may be treated, and the certificate the venue or host requests.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review belly dancer insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Describe the dancer's movement, costume and props.
  • Identify whether the act invites guests to participate.
  • Coordinate the dance surface and musician or recorded-music support.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose a restaurant diner is burned when a candle from the dancer's balanced tray tips onto the table and alleges that the belly dancer caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If the dancer's costumes, props or music equipment are damaged or stolen at a venue, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the belly dancer who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
