Balloon Artist Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

A balloon artist twists balloon animals or builds decor at parties, festivals and store events, often using pumps or helium tanks near children. Performers should sort out liability for guests at their station, protection for their own equipment, and the certificate event hosts or venues request.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review balloon artist insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Describe balloon inflation and any pump or cylinder equipment.
  • Identify whether designs are handed directly to children or displayed.
  • Coordinate the artist's work area and queue with the event host.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose a toddler at the party chokes on a popped balloon fragment picked up near the twisting station and alleges that the balloon artist caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If the artist's helium cylinder is damaged in transit or an electric pump is stolen from the car, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the balloon artist who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
