Amateur Archery Event Insurance: Coverage, Cost and Same-Day Guide

An amateur archery event sets up shooting lines and targets for recreational archers, often with instruction or friendly rounds. Organizers should address spectator safety zones, how participant injuries may be handled, and what the range or park owner wants to see before shooting begins.

Which guide answers my question?

Which activities should the application describe?

Insurers price and review amateur archery event insurance from the activity plan, not the event name. Describe who is responsible for each of these arrangements:

  • Mark shooting lines and targets.
  • Control access behind and beside targets.
  • Coordinate instruction and shooting sessions.

What kind of claim is this insurance for?

Suppose a spectator who wanders behind the target line is struck by an arrow that misses the backstop and alleges that the archery organizer caused the injury. That is the kind of third-party claim event liability insurance may address, subject to the policy terms. If an archer's bowstring snaps and injures the archer during a shooting session, you may need a separate coverage option; ordinary event liability is not automatically the answer.

What should I have ready for a quote?

  • The legal name of the archery organizer who will be the named insured.
  • Event dates, setup and teardown times, the venue address and expected daily attendance.
  • The venue contract or permit, including any certificate and additional insured wording it requires.
  • Whether alcohol is served, sold or brought by guests, and who serves it.
  • Hired vendors, performers and equipment rentals, and any activity beyond the list above.

Request a quote with your event details. Submitting the form does not bind insurance.
